About the event
Join Dr. Moira McQueen for a clear, practical look at end-of-life decisions as New Yorkers prepare for assisted suicide's legalization in August 2026.
Drawing on the experience of Canada—where assisted suicide has been legal since 2016—Dr. Moira McQueen will explain NY’s “Medical Assistance In Dying Act” and provide practical moral guidance within a Christian bioethical framework so that our community can be prepared to defend the gift of life at its vulnerable end-of-life stage and protect their loved ones, patients and clients from the threats imposed by this law.
